I’m back for another summer in Iceland but my outdoor adventures will be limited this time since I have something else on the agenda. Things were up in the air until about April so I was planning a few hikes just in case. But everything worked out and here I am in Ísafjörður, just 20 km south of the Arctic Circle, in my new home. (If you remember my February entries, I was in Ísafjörður for “a bit of private business”, which translated as property-hunting.)
Since I want to keep this blog on the subject of outdoor adventure, I won’t go into that much here. Rest assured I will continue to explore the Icelandic outdoors in an athletic way and tell you all about it. I imagine my focus will be on the Westfjords for a while though. There’s so much to see and do here that I’ll never get bored. So stay tuned for my summer adventures!
